St. Paul’s Chancel Choir Cantata
and Christmas Concert Band
December 16th and 17th 7:30PM
(snow date December 18th)
St. Paul’s Chancel Choir will present “Season of Joy” A Celtic Christmas Celebration. Combining the passion of Celtic musical traditions and the joyous celebration of Christ’s birth, Season of Joy offers a spectacular collection of new and beloved seasonal songs. Acclaimed arranger and orchestrator Daniel Semsen has brilliantly married traditional Celtic instrumentation with a vibrant contemporary sound. Featuring four new songs by Keith and Krystan Getty, Chris Tomlin, Dolly Parton and more, this is a one-of-a-kind worship experience for Christmas! No less than one dozen familiar carols artfully weave their way through the work. Our Chancel Choir will be joined at times by narrators, Children’s Choirs, and pageantry. It is a wonderful celebration of Christ’s birth!
Our Christmas Concert Band will present its annual “Songs of the Season” with great Christmas Music. Many different styles will be presented including traditional Christmas songs in various settings, “The Polar Express”, and even a “swingin” Christmas number. Our Concert Band is made up of woodwinds, brass, and percussion players from St. Paul’s and the high schools, colleges, and communities around us. It is a unique ensemble and we are excited to involve our community and church in this instrumental outreach.

Mission Trip to Haiti 2018!
- For the 5th year in a row, St. Paul’s will be sending a Mission Team to Haiti on January 20 – 27, 2018. In the past few years we have seen the opening of a Clinic on the Aslan property in Haiti, have dug and run a water line to the well house, which is now not only supplying running water to the Clinic but also providing fresh drinking water to over 90 families in L’Acajou, Haiti which is badly needed since the two hurricanes have contaminated the water of the shallow wells in the area. A church foundation and pillars have also been constructed.
- This year’s work projects will include putting the roof on the church, beautifying the areas around the clinic and church, teaching English to older Aslan teenagers/young adults, and spending time with the young adults (men with men and ladies with ladies) sharing Christ and discussing other serious topics/issues. In addition, we will again host Bible Camp on four afternoons for the youth of Aslan. If we are able to raise the funds, they would like us to feed the children a meal of rice, beans and fish at the end of Bible Camp.
- If the Lord has been speaking to you about joining our Mission Team to Haiti and you have any questions about the trip, contact Doug Buechler at 973-495-4377.
